Luisa’s Biography

Luisa Sipple is the founder of Begin the Home Journey and a trusted real estate professional serving the Northern Virginia and greater D.C. metro area. Since 2019, she has been recognized as a Top Producer at the Gold and Platinum levels by the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors (NVAR). She is also a recipient of the RE/MAX 100% Club Award, a member of the RE/MAX Hall of Fame, and has been named among the region’s Best Agents—honors that reflect her dedication to excellence, integrity, and service.

Luisa was born in El Salvador and immigrated to the United States in the early 1980s with her mother and siblings. She began her studies at the University of Texas at Austin before transferring to the University of Texas at San Antonio, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish in 1997.

For nearly two decades, Luisa embraced the life of a military spouse, homeschooling her four children while relocating across six states: Texas, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Virginia. In 2009, her family was assigned to Northern Virginia, which has remained home ever since.

Eager to launch a new career, Luisa completed the INOVA Military-to-Medicine Front Office Management Program in 2011 and began working at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital as a Red Cross Volunteer and Contractor in Patient Administration. In 2014, she followed her passion for real estate, graduating from Mosely Real Estate School and joining RE/MAX Executives in Springfield.

Luisa brings to her clients the same dedication, care, and resourcefulness that defined her years as a homeschool educator and military spouse. Her deep understanding of the emotional and logistical challenges of moving—especially for first-time buyers and families—makes her a compassionate and knowledgeable guide through every step of the home journey.

Beyond her career, Luisa has always prioritized family, faith, and community service. She has volunteered in a wide range of roles, including CCD teacher, parish treasurer, Work Camp crew leader, and President of the Council of Catholic Women (2020–2022). In the homeschooling community, she has served as a leadership committee member, newsletter editor, co-op teacher, and student travel organizer.

Her commitment to service also extends into the wider community. Luisa has contributed her time and energy to organizations such as the American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, Build Together Alexandria, Fairfax County Volunteer Solutions, and local women’s shelters, among others.

In her free time, Luisa enjoys hiking, quilting, traveling, and spending time outdoors. She is an enthusiastic fan of the Texas Longhorns, Houston Texans, Virginia Tech, and RIT, and she never misses a chance to watch the Olympic Games or FIFA World Cup competitions—catching every possible event, even though she hasn’t yet attended one in person. Among her dreams are to hike the entire Appalachian Trail, travel throughout Europe and Asia, and experience both the Olympics and a World Cup match live.

Whether helping a first-time buyer, guiding a family relocating to the area, or supporting a seller preparing for their next chapter, Luisa brings compassion, professionalism, and personal experience to every transaction. At Begin the Home Journey, she is committed to helping each client find more than just a house—but a place to truly call home.
